Growth Groups

Growth Groups Fall 2017Fall 2017 Growth Groups

Because relationships are so necessary to our spiritual       well-being, at Ignite we have created “Growth Groups” with the purpose of helping us grow closer to God and others.  Growth groups are made up of 8-12 people that gather together regularly to connect with one another, learn from God’s word, and pray together.

Below is the current Growth Group Offerings for fall 2017.  We will be using these books and topics to springboard into God’s book and ultimately to apply what it says.  Please sign up by September 24th

If you have any questions about any of our groups, please feel free to contact Paul Seidl, @ or call the church office 309-673-6011.

Description: In Matthew 21, Jesus tells us, "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." However, most of the time we pray, we only ask for the small things. We're afraid to ask for what we really want, or to be passionate in our petitions. Do you ever sense that there's far more to prayer, and to God's vision for your life, than what you're experiencing? In The Circle Maker, Mark Batterson introduces you to the possibility of a deeper, more passionate, persistent, and more intimate prayer life.

Description:  From the time we are born, relationships are constantly shaping who we are and how we engage with the world around us. Beginning with how we see ourselves, we develop a view of God and others that impacts the way we relate to others.  Relat(able) looks at relationships the way God intended them to be. Because He has gone to extraordinary lengths to relate to us, we have the potential to build incredible relationships with one another. Embracing God's love and receiving His grace changes the way we relate to him, our family, our friends, and ourselves.

Description:  In The Me I Want to Be, John Ortberg reveals how you can become the unique, fully alive person God intended you to be. There is a me each of one of us wants to be… someone who’s more kind and generous, patient, and loving. But there is a gap between the me I am and the me I want to be. Oftentimes we find it easy to trust God to bridge the gap between and us and him, but we struggle to really live by grace and trust God to close the gap between the me I am and the me I want to be. Becoming God’s best version of you is both God’s desire and the greatest task of your life. And here’s the good news… he’s already working on it. Your life is God’s project, not yours.
